Observations of experts at the Institute for Biomedical Research and Sports Epidemiology (IRMES) in France suggest that there will be no new sporting world records after 2060, as humans will have reached their physiological limits by that time.

Israeli scientists have inscribed the entire Hebrew text of the Jewish Bible onto a space less than half the size of grain of sugar.

The nanotechnology experts at the Technion institute in Haifa say the text measures less than 0.5 square millimeter (0.01 square inch) surface.

They chose the Jewish Bible to highlight how vast quantities of information can be stored in minimum amounts of space.

BHUBANESHWAR: In a bid to create a world record, a tailor in Orissa has designed a 38-feet-long cloth underwear.

A.V. Giri, a resident of Jaypur town in the southern district of Koraput, demonstrated the garment Saturday in his hometown, according to Oriya daily The Sambad.

Giri claimed the garment, which is 115 feet wide, was made with 450 meters of cloth in five days.

The underwear cost Rs.40,000 with local residents chipping in, said Giri, who runs a tailoring shop at his home town. read more »
