Bangalore Palace Grounds is all set to witness Srinivasa Kalyanotsava, which is being organised for the first time in Bangalore. Devotees have started pouring in at the palace grounds.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has organised Srinivasa Kalyanotsava for the first time in Bangalore.
The wedding of Lord Venkateswara is being organised here for those who could not make it to the seven hills to witness the daily 'Kalyanotsavam'. This event will enable over two lakh devotees to witness the event even from a distance of one km, thanks to closed circuit television. Two lakh devotees are expected by 5 pm when the Kalyanotsava begins, said TTD sources.
Eminent singers will sing Saint Annamacharya's 'sankirthans' during the Kalyanotsavam, while archakas will be brought from Tirumala to perform the rituals.
As large numbers of devotees are anticipated, public who travel through Jayamahal Road, Nandidurga Road, Vasanthnagar Main Road, Miller's Road, Mehkri Circle, Ramana Maharshi Road and T.Chowdaiah road are advised to take alternative routes.
