Google Chrome: Synaptics Touchpad Issue Solution

I know, I know… WTH is Google Chrome doing here! :D Anyway, those of you who use Google Chrome, Google’s new WebKit based web browser, on your laptops with synaptics touchpad driver installed, may have noticed that the virtual scrolling feature does not work well in chrome – scrolling down works but scrolling up does not work.

Well, I just downloaded this patch and now the issue is fixed! To download (.zip), click here.

FINALLY! If you’re having trouble with your synaptics driver not allowing you to scroll in Chrome, go download this updated driver on the synaptics website and then restart.

I tried the patch and the “fixes”. This is the only thing that finally solved my problem.

Hmmm… That’s weird. The first thing I did after encountering this issue was to update my synaptics driver to the latest version… but that didn’t work for me. It was only this “patch” that solved my problem.
