In Ahmedabad, a 17-year-old girl delivered a baby boy in an auto rickshaw near Navrangpura when they were heading towards VS Hospital on Tuesday afternoon.
The unwed mother was later admitted to hospital where officials said that the health of the girl and her child was stable.
"The girl lives in Naranpura and is a student. On Tuesday morning, she complained of sudden, severe stomach ache. Her mother asked her to wait till her father came. Her father, a driver with a private company, reached home around 3 pm and immediately started off for the hospital. The girl was wailing and was clutching her stomach. After a look at the stomach, her mother sensed something. Surprisingly enough they claimed that neither the girl nor they knew anything about the pregnancy," said the official.
The girl’s mother then put an end to her questions and got busy preparing for the delivery. She quickly covered the auto rickshaw with a saree that she was carrying and helped her daughter deliver a baby boy. After the delivery, she was taken to the hospital and the child was kept in an incubator due to his frail health.
This is a picture of an autorickshaw and what it looks like ....but this is not the one in which the baby was actually born...imagine a baby being born in that while it was moving !!
